  • Developing package designs, distribution testing, technical documentation, and materials sustainment for both Consumables and Instruments.
  • This position is part of the group Package Engineering Center of Excellence located in Miami, FL (Kendall site) and will be an on-site position to utilize 2 fully outfitted Test Labs. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.You will be a part of the Package Engineering Center of Excellence team and report to the Package Engineering Manager responsible for innovative packaging designs, executing detailed test methods using knowledge of industry standards such as ASTM and ISTA, sustainability, and test result analysis.   • Provide packaging support for internal and external customers, globally.
  • Participate in analysis and resolution of packaging issues using Problem Solving methodology.
  • Write technical test protocols, reports, engineering drawings, and ensure manufacturing/packaging documents are created, updated and in compliance with company standards.
  • Support release of new and enhancements to existing product packaging.
  • Define packaging materials, with a focus on waste reduction.
  • The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Education: Minimum of Bachelors in Packaging, or Packaging related field such as Material Sciences.
  • Experience: Minimum of 0-1 year experience in related FDA regulated field.
  • Sufficient experience in technical writing; ISO and GMP as required.
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with hands-on Distribution Testing per ASTM and/or ISTA.
  • CAD Software experience, or similar.
  • Cold Chain/Thermodynamics experience or knowledge.
