Packager - 1st Shift - Doherty Staffing : Job Details

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading food production company in Klingerstown, PA. We are seeking candidates for a Packager role on the 1st shift. Compensation for this opportunity is $16.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!

What Youll Do as the Packager:

• Inspect the quality of eggs and remove any broken
• Place proper labels on boxes
• Understand dates, expiration and item numbers
• Ensure that bags and pails are properly sealed and clean
• Stack flats of CHEX product onto the proper pallet
• Load material into case erector
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
• Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety

What You Need to Be the Packager:

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as needed
• Ability to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license
• Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
