**NYC Ferry is seeking an Evening Inventory Agent.**

**About the Opportunity:**

NYC Ferry Evening Inventory Agents are the first line of defense to ensuring that our vessels are properly stocked with Consumables (snacks, drinks, prepacked foods, and paper goods), Helpful (OTC medicines, etc.) and Discoverable (electronics, toys, etc.). The evening agents are responsible for the stores appearance, inventory stock levels and functionality of equipment for the Rider Service Agents to effectively do their job. Evening agents must understand the basic principles of inventory management.

**About You:**

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences RESPECT Service System.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Use pull sheets and preassigned par levels to accurately determine quantities of all products needed from warehouse.

* Must be able to accurately and responsibly handle consumables, discoverable and helpful inventory and properly sort and prepare for vessel stocking.

* Responsible for appearance of assigned vessel concessions store area.

* Clean concessions area when necessary to prepare store for operations.

* Communicate clearly with Overnight Supervisor(s), Lead and New Stand Warehouse personnel on stores appearance and inventory needs.

* Knowing and communicating information about the ferry service, including rules, regulations, and basic knowledge about the neighborhood where assigned.

* Most positions require working alone, but some may require working with a partner/team.

* Contacting managers/supervisor/lead with information regarding any store related issues including but not limited to refrigerators, coffee brewers, POS, storage, shelving, keg systems and concessions monitors.

* Set up and break down of concessions store including full replenishments, new store openings and full inventory counts.

* Communicating with other inventory agents in other locations regarding products, equipment, or other pertinent information.

* Understanding and executing keg system set up, breakdown and troubleshooting to ensure proper function of draft offerings.

* Maintaining an organized workspace and keep accurate records involving vessel inventory needs, replenishment, or shortfalls.

* Conduct full inventory counts each month or when assigned by supervisor.

* Rotate perishable products using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management protocol.

* Spot check vessel perishables to ensure fresh and non-expired inventory.

* Selling on-board concessions when necessary.

* This position may require the ability to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

* Demonstrate RESPECT Values and Hospitality Behaviors with internal and external Riders.

* Additional job duties as assigned.

**Requirements & Qualifications:**

* Position requires working on the Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan waterfront.

* Previous experience in ferry, transit, hospitality, or attraction industry preferred.

* Experience working in customer service, retail, or visitor services a plus.

* Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 60 lbs. may be required.

* A hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
