Join our team as an Outpatient OBGYN Nurse Supervisor, coordinating clinical activities in our Albany and Hudson locations to ensure seamless operations, optimal patient flow, and high-quality care. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and administrative staff to maintain clinical standards and provide excellent service in a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient flow and point-of-care testing within the clinic.
- Supervise and support Triage Nurses and their workflows.
- Exemplify professionalism while fostering a positive team culture.
- Review and optimize clinical processes for effective charge capturing.
- Develop and empower staff to perform effectively within their licensure.
- Collaborate with the Practice Coordinator to enhance operational efficiency.
- Attend management meetings to address and resolve departmental challenges.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding patient and staff matters.
- Oversee supply and medication orders with budgetary mindfulness.
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and facilitate weekly tracer submissions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least 3 years of nursing experience, ideally in a supervisory role.

- Keep staff informed of institutional policies and resources.
- Communicate effectively with staff and conduct regular meetings.
- Ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment and manage issues promptly.
- Collaborate on compliance efforts with regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate documentation on safety and compliance measures.
- Assist with clinical duties as needed to support the team.
Administrative Liaison Role:
- Provide essential administrative support within a patient-centered framework.
- Serve as a link between our clinical staff and administrative bodies.
- Advocate for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within nursing management.
- Ensure proper documentation and age-appropriate care practices.
Professional Consultation:
- Act as a resource for staff facing complex clinical challenges.
- Stay informed about nursing policies, regulations, and share knowledge freely.
- Help resolve conflicts between individual and organizational needs.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development.
