Compensation Pay Range: $21.85 - $25.35
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may vary based on specific circumstances such as schedule, facility, or work performed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers on the pick ticket with part numbers on the merchandise.
- Place merchandise in totes or stage bulk items in the designated area and ensure totes are labeled with the correct customer number before sending down the conveyor.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and productivity during order picking.
- Consolidate and pack stock merchandise efficiently for quick checking by the customer.
- Itemize and document products not shipped in totes on the freight bill and ensure all bills are dated and totaled correctly at the end of the day.
- Operate handheld computers (RF units) and/or voice picking equipment effectively in a WMS DC.
- Check items against the freight bill as they are loaded onto trucks, ensuring accuracy in numbers and types.
- Load trucks swiftly and securely, tying and securing freight as needed.
- Maintain supply levels of totes in picking zones and repair them as necessary.
- Sort tickets and labels by zone and operate various equipment for outbound functions.
- Keep the work area tidy and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Act as a trainer for new team members, conducting training according to schedule and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Adhere to safety standards while identifying and reporting unsafe practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Required:
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and match numbers and letters with speed and accuracy.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Desired:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
