DescriptionDoctors of Physical Therapy is currently seeking a part to full-time Certified Hand Therapist - OT or PT - to execute best-in-class care at our outpatient clinic in Lansing, Michigan. The ideal candidate has hand therapy experience. This position offers you the flexibility you need in your work life! Therapist Responsibilities: • Identify and meet patients' goals and needs • Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients' motion and mobility • Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery • Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques • Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs • Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions • Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally • Promote clients' healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance and coordination • Consult and practice with other health professionals • Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress • Document patient care services Benefits:A full time staff member will qualify for a full benefit package. • Mentorship • Continued Education Assistance • Free internal CEU courses • Flexible schedule 20-40 hour work week schedules • 401k • Paid Time Off (FT) • Paid Holidays (FT) • Health Insurance (FT) • Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD insurance RequirementsSkills • Proven work experience as an Occupational/Physical Therapist and Hand Therapist • Intensive education and clinical expertise • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities • Current knowledge of treatment practices • Drive to continually learn and grow • Professional behavior • Excellent interpersonal communication skills • Valid license to practice occupational therapy • Graduate degree or greater in occupational therapy Experience: • Occupational/Physical Therapy: New grads that want to pursue a CHT will be considered. • Must have Hand Therapy experience, and/or desire to complete CHT. • Must have strong splint skills. License/Certification: • OT or PT License • CHT preferred
