Job Posting: Tool Maintenance Technician

Tool Maintenance Technicians provide labor and skilled support for assigned product lines. Essential duties and responsibilities include abiding by all Oil States Energy Services, LLC Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures, performing routine maintenance on tools and supporting equipment, inspecting and maintaining equipment, checking operating conditions, and logging repair needs. They may perform maintenance jobs as required, as well as preventative maintenance, and provide assistance to assigned mechanics as needed. They also rebuild broken equipment, assemble and disassemble universal tools, maintain records, track and record equipment test results, complete work orders, list materials issued and used, and submit paperwork with appropriate personnel. They may perform basic inventory and basic preparation of tools and equipment, replace expendable parts, deliver and pick up equipment, pressure wash equipment, and paint equipment within the confines of a paint booth. They may assist on well site locations, pressure test equipment, operate heavy equipment, recognize problems while cleaning and dressing tools, and keep shop and equipment clean and organized.

Specialized duties by product line include production services such as pumps, flow iron, manifold, gas busters, BOP testing, crossovers, and spools.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to travel for extensive amounts of time and be on call 24/7, maintain a safe driving record, read, write and speak in English, have mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills, general knowledge of hand tools and power tools, operate materiel handling equipment, read and interpret documents, and use all related equipment and maintenance tools.

Qualification requirements include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 3-6 months related experience or training in the oil and gas industry preferred, and the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The physical demands include frequently lifting and moving materials up to 75 pounds, standing, walking, and the use of hands to finger, handle or feel, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching with hands and arms, exposure to shop contaminates, passing pulmonary function test to wear proper respirator, wearing safety glasses, steel toe boots, and ear plugs, and exposure to warm, hot and cold temperatures and moderate noise levels.
