Order Picker/Order Selector - Educated Solutions : Job Details

Location Waukesha,WI Description We are seeking to hire a full-time Order Picker/Order Selector for our client in Waukesha, WI. This position includes a generous payrate and benefits that start on day 1 (medical, dental, vision) and a 401-k w/ company match, and PTO. Qualified candidates should have previous experience using material handling equipment such as sit-down/stand-up forklifts, and pallet jacks and have performed order picking and fulfillment duties in a distribution center environment. KEY DETAILS:Location: 1100 Marlin Ct, Waukesha, WI 53186 Pay: Will be based on previous experience ($23-$25/hour) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401-k w/ company match, and PTO. Health, Dental, and Vision insurance will start on the first day of employment! Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday (OT is available you would like it) - NO WEEKEND WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read incoming orders and select the correct items from the warehouse, refrigeration, and freezer areas as well as staging the orders to be shipped.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, palletizers, and other machinery to organize and complete the order picking process.
• Complete manual inventory counts to ensure the necessary materials are onsite.
• Update stock inventory after each item is retrieved.
• Manage inventory and stock control including item replenishment and storage.
• Review orders that are picked to ensure the correct product, size of order, and number of items are accurate.
• Perform basic quality assurance by inspecting goods and their containers for possible damage before packing them to be shipped.
• Manually review and place shipping labels on palletized orders.
• Help load/unload incoming and outgoing tractor trailers using first-in/first-out inventory methods.
• Communicate effectively with Warehouse Manager and other team members to ensure customer's orders are being prioritized and fulfilled in an efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Prefer 3+ years of order picking/packing experience using a variety of material handling equipment.
• Previous experience order picking/packing inside a food distribution center or warehouse is preferred but not required.
• Physical capable of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) throughout your 8-hour shift.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting the requires strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to work successfully with other Order Pickers in a team friendly environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to organize and manage a variety of duties independently.
