THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring an experienced and highly motivated EPM Planning Practice Manager to lead global Oracle Cloud EPM implementation engagements in a high-performance consulting environment that champions both client success and employee well-being. This is a critical leadership role with direct responsibility for building and leading a high-performing team of Oracle EPM consultants. The Practice Manager will drive delivery excellence, foster a culture of continuous development, and ensure customer success across engagements.

The ideal candidate combines strong delivery and architectural experience with a passion for mentoring talent and creating scalable, best-in-class EPM solutions. This individual will partner closely with internal stakeholders - staffing, account management, sales, enablement, and vertical leadership to achieve business outcomes and drive practice performance.

As an EPM Planning Practice Manager, you will take ownership of solution architecture, implementation delivery, and optimization across a diverse portfolio of Oracle Cloud EPM Planning projects. You will lead a team of consultants and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient EPM solutions aligned with strategic business outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As an EPM Planning Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering Oracle Cloud EPM Planning solutions across multiple industries and clients. You will guide a team of consultants through complex implementations while maintaining a strong focus on delivery excellence, strategic advisory, and customer success. This role blends hands-on solution architecture with practice development and operational leadership. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of EPM professionals across multiple concurrent projects.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through coaching, skill development, and knowledge sharing.
    • Contribute to talent acquisition efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and career progression planning.
  • Solution Architecture & Project Oversight
    • Lead and architect end-to-end Oracle Cloud EPM Planning implementations, including modules such as Financials, Workforce, Capital Expenditures, Projects, and Freeform.
    • Guide solution design, dimensional modeling, data integration strategies, calculation logic, and performance optimization.
    • Provide hands-on leadership throughout delivery, including issue resolution, design validation, and risk mitigation.
  • Client Engagement & Customer Success
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, translating business objectives into scalable, future-ready planning solutions.
    • Establish strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders at both operational and executive levels.
    • Drive high client satisfaction, ensure successful outcomes, and contribute to customer referenceability and retention.
  • Operational Excellence & Performance Management
    • Ensure the team meets or exceeds utilization, chargeability, and delivery KPIs.
    • Drive operational efficiencies across project delivery through process standardization and continuous improvement.
    • Support resource forecasting, project staffing, and capacity planning in collaboration with the delivery operations team.
  • Collaboration & Practice Enablement
    • Partner with account teams and sales to support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, RFPs, and proposal development.
    • Coordinate with the Enablement Team to design and execute onboarding, training, and certification programs for the EPM practice.
    • Work closely with vertical and solution leads to align delivery priorities with strategic growth initiatives.
  • Thought Leadership & Innovation
    • Contribute to the creation of delivery accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets to increase project velocity and consistency.
    • Lead initiatives that explore new Oracle EPM Cloud capabilities, automation, AI/ML use cases, and predictive analytics.
    • Stay abreast of Oracle Cloud EPM roadmap updates, industry trends, and client demand patterns to ensure the practice remains agile and future-ready.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION

  • Educational Background
    • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
    • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional Experience
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise Performance Management or related fields.
    • At least 3 years of leadership experience overseeing Oracle EPM implementations and practice operations.
  • Leadership & Delivery Skills
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-stream EPM engagements.
    • Experience driving organizational change, standardizing delivery practices, and mentoring consulting talent.
  • Communication & Executive Presence
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting to C-level executives.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking
    • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • A track record of using data to guide decisions and improve project outcomes.
  • Certifications & Technical Acumen
    • Oracle Cloud EPM certifications or other relevant credentials are highly desirable.
    • Solid understanding of EPM Planning architecture, configuration, and integration with ERP systems.
  • Travel Requirements
    • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to client sites as required.
