OPTOMETRIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine eye exams and vision care procedures

Administer special testing as needed (visual fields, ophthalmic imaging, etc.)

Medical eye care (glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, etc.)

Assess the need for a 3rd party referral and proceed accordingly

Contact lens evaluation, tend to eye emergencies and coordinate care with other in-house providers

Strictly adhere to HIPAA standards & regulations in handling any patient information or patient inquiries.

Effectively perform a variety of other assignments and projects as may be required

OPTOMETRIST QUALIFICATIONS:

License to practice Optometry in New York State

Must be comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients

Recent graduate of Optometry Residency program welcome to apply!

Experience with Electronic Medical Records software preferred
