OPS PARK RANGER - 42902580 - STATE OF FLORIDA : Job Details

This is a full-time OPS Park Ranger position on the Little Big Econ State Forest in Geneva, FL, managing invasive plant species that alter natural communities by displacing native species and expanding through natural processes. This OPS positions primary duties will be spent in the field searching and treating for invasive plant species, logging areas on a GPS/ Flint unit, and maintaining these areas through planning with data management. This work includes mapping locations on the computer in ArcGIS/shapefiles, other data entry/management, and equipment maintenance. This OPS Park Ranger position also provides assistance with state forest projects such as collecting data for threatened and endangered plant and animal species, restoration projects, and the prescribed burning program.
