About the Role
The Operations Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs across the organization's manufacturing operations. This individual will partner with plant leadership, HR, and safety teams to design training strategies that enhance workforce skills, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive performance improvements. The ideal candidate has experience in training within manufacturing or food production environments and is passionate about employee development, process improvement, and cultivating a culture of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement training programs for manufacturing operations, including onboarding, technical skills, safety, compliance, and leadership development.
- Partner with plant and department leaders to assess training needs and align programs with operational goals.
- Develop standardized training materials, manuals, and modules to ensure consistency across all locations.
- Lead train-the-trainer initiatives to empower supervisors and team leads in delivering effective training.
- Track, measure, and report on training effectiveness; adjust programs based on feedback and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, including food safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating best practices into training programs.
- Manage training schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Foster a culture of learning, engagement, and professional development across the workforce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in training and development, lean manufacturing, ideally within manufacturing or food production.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in food manufacturing (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be Bilingual
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
