Job Description

  • Responsible for overseeing the project's programmatic activities and operations.
  • Collaborate with managerial staff on brainstorming high-level decisions, partnerships, and operational functions.
  • Review, recommend, report, and implement programs to ensure the project meets contractual obligations and compliance issues.
  • Analyze processes and procedures to optimize performance.
  • Define and set operational goals, including but not limited to enrollments, WEX, and placements.
  • Prioritize assignments and adjust or adapt service delivery as needed.
  • Supervise staff, assist with staff training, and act as backup for managerial staff.
  • Understand all technical aspects of the operational units.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies related to welfare, workforce programs, and labor laws.
  • Maximize performance and productivity.
  • Direct/delegate staff responsibilities to meet or exceed performance standards. Review staff performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate meetings with partners to promote full, frequent communication.
  • Inform the Program Manager of needed training activities to ensure staff are properly trained to implement project activities effectively.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of WIOA experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
