Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience & region) + performance bonuses

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of a trucking fleet of up to 100 trucks, ensuring safe, compliant, and profitable performance. This role is the bridge between ownership, dispatch, drivers, and compliance. The Operations Manager is responsible for maximizing fleet utilization, maintaining strong broker and customer relationships, and ensuring that drivers are supported and loads are delivered on time.

• Supervise dispatch team to ensure timely booking, routing, and delivery of loads.
• Optimize fleet utilization, reduce empty miles, and meet weekly gross revenue goals.
• Track truck/trailer availability, maintenance schedules, and downtime.

Driver Management

• Recruit, onboard, and retain CDL-A drivers (solo and teams).
• Enforce company policies on safety, inspections, and compliance.
• Monitor driver performance, scheduling, and home-time balance.
• Support drivers during breakdowns, accidents, or urgent issues.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT, ELD logs, HOS rules, and company safety policies.
• Manage accident investigations, insurance claims, and DataQ disputes.
• Implement training programs and corrective actions for violations.

Customer & Broker Relations

• Maintain strong relationships with brokers and direct shippers.
• Negotiate detention, layover, and lumper reimbursements.
• Prevent service failures that could result in DNU (Do Not Use) status.

Financial & Reporting

• Monitor RPM (rate per mile), gross per truck, and company profitability.
• Approve financial adjustments (detention, lumper, settlements).
• Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to ownership.

Leadership & Growth

• Supervise and train dispatch, safety, and HR teams.
• Develop performance-based pay and incentive programs.
• Support company growth and expansion plans.

• 3–5+ years of experience in trucking operations management (fleet of 30+).
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations, IFTA/IRP, and ELD systems.
• Proven leadership skills in managing dispatchers and drivers.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Financial understanding of RPM, P&L, and settlements.
• Bilingual (English + Russian/Uzbek/Spanish) a strong plus.
