Job Summary

This role is responsible for onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers. The Operations Manager establishes and maintains positive relationships with all front-line employees and spends the majority of the day in the field with frontline staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Onboarding: Ensuring new frontline employees have tools, instructions, and feedback for successful daily duties. Meet with new employees daily to ensure consistent communication and support.

Developing: Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with employees. Regularly review best practices to enhance performance and understand employee career goals.

Coaching: Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with employees to ensure success. Practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations.

Mentoring: Lead by example, emphasizing safety practices and teaching the WM Way.

Performance Management: Conduct root cause investigations for injuries and incidents, ensure discipline and retraining, and maintain records required by regulatory agencies. Review and audit documentation related to route operations daily and follow up as needed. Visit customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues.

QualificationsA. Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
• High School Diploma (accredited) and two years of relevant work experience
• Successful completion of the WM Route Manager Trainee program
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
• Valid Driver's License
