Pacific International are partnered with a leader in the food catering business. As the company has won the clientele of a multinational champion in the luxury beverage sector, the brand has built a high performing assembly plant to accomodate the demand that has concluded from this ambitious deal.

With this, the plant is looking to drive strong standards in regards to safety, delivery and efficiency. The cultural approach to this aspect is crucial for the group to continue with its success and its strong reputation in the market, as it continues to serve brand leaders in a variety of sectors of global brands.

This professional will need to be a hands on and strategic leader, well experienced in driving rapid results in start up operations and greenfield manufacturing sites.

Essential Functions

  • Implements production start-up and growth plans to assure achievement of planned production volume, ensuring product meets established targeted return on assets employed and contribution to sales and profits.
  • Ensures that operating objectives and standards of performance are understood and owned by management and employees and that a system is in place for effective communication with other General /Unit Managers.
  • Assists in the development of and implementation of capital plans related to production improvement or expansion.
  • Ensures the unit meets defined parameters of cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Responsible for the overall morale and ethical conduct of the company and its employees. Responsible for compliance with customer requirements, corporate policies, and government regulations.
  • Effectively lead the local management with a spirit of teamwork and alignment with corporate values and objectives.
  • Develops and manages strong customer relationships.
  • Teaches, coaches, and mentors Department Heads against standards for employee relations, safety, production, food safety, culinary standards, and hospitality.
  • Leads various problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Performs financial analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data.
  • Manages quality standards for all aspects of food production against acceptable food preparation and customer specifications.
  • Effectively communicates standards of performance to management and employees.

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible management experience in food manufacturing. Frozen plant experience is a plus.
  • Experienced with customer interactions and customer relationship management.
  • Experience in leading teams and various employee groups in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
