Role Description: Operations Manager – Fort Myers, FL (On-Site)

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our state-of-the-art Gelatys Ice Cream Factory in Fort Myers, Florida. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing all aspects of factory operations—from production planning and inventory control to quality assurance and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure that all manufacturing activities run safely, smoothly, and efficiently, while upholding the highest standards of product quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day factory operations, including production, warehousing, and staff scheduling

• Develop and monitor production plans to meet demand and optimize throughput

• Oversee inventory management of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods

• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.)

• Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team across multiple shifts

• Collaborate with the Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to support continuous improvement

• Monitor KPIs and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs

• Support expansion projects and scaling of production capacity as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operations or plant management, ideally in the food or beverage manufacturing industry

• Strong leadership and organizational skills with hands-on management style

• Solid understanding of production workflows, inventory systems, and quality assurance processes

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Knowledge of FDA, SQF/BRC, OSHA, and food safety compliance standards

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field

• CPIM or equivalent certification is a plus

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Salary Range: $80,000 – $85,000 annually
