Interstate Engineering is hiring a driven Operations Manager – Engineering Services, to lead our Mandan, North Dakota office. If you have a background in engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture, or business administration, and a passion for team leadership, operational excellence, and client relationships, this could be your next big move. In this pivotal role, you'll guide local operations, support high-impact projects, and fuel business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment; contribute technical expertise where needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients, identifying opportunities for new and repeat business in the region.
• Partner with the Regional Vice President and other leaders to align office goals with the firm's broader strategic initiatives.
• Oversee office operations including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality outcomes.
• Represent the company in professional, civic, and client-facing settings to enhance visibility and credibility.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team including engineers, planners, surveyors, and support staff to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in the engineering, surveying, or consulting industry.
• Strong business development acumen and experience managing client relationships.
• Proven leadership experience and deep understanding of consulting industry operations, project lifecycles, and team management.
• Strong organizational, communication, decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
