Operations Engineer, Sr. - Electric Reliability Council of Texas : Job Details

Apply principles of electrical engineering and the electric power industry to provide engineering analysis and technical support to ensure continuing reliable operations of the electric power grid in compliance with NERC Standards, ERCOT Protocols and Market Guides. Provide electrical engineering analysis and technical support for the planning and operation of the electric power system. Participate in multifunctional teams to obtain input, address comments and perform studies. Implement appropriate system modeling. Develop tools and procedures to monitor and control the system and to enhance system reliability and departmental efficiencies. Perform system studies, analyze simulated or actual operating results, and develop solutions to current or future system issues. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the department. Address the most complex engineering issues where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
