The Trinity Trails Resort YMCA at Camp Carter is a 250-acre destination committed to providing unforgettable experiences for families, companies, and communities. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Director to lead and manage the daily operations of our resort. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to drive the redevelopment and growth of our programs and services while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the development and daily operations of Camp Carter's signature programs, including:
  • Summer Camps: Day camp and one-week overnight camp.
  • Family Camps: Year-round family-focused outdoor activities.
  • Outdoor Education: School partnerships and experiential learning programs.
  • Challenge Courses & Team Building: Deliver high-impact group experiences for schools and businesses.
  • Retreats & Special Events: Weddings, corporate retreats, health summits, car shows, concerts, movie nights, and more.

Membership Development

  • Launch and grow a membership model to provide Fort Worth families access to weekend activities such as:
  • Arts & crafts, archery, fishing, boating, swimming, and other sports.

Hospitality Management

  • Oversee the Airbnb program, managing cabin rentals and enhancing guest experiences.
  • Ensure all facilities, including accommodations, kitchens, and common areas, meet high standards of cleanliness and functionality.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial goals are met.
  • Implement efficient administrative systems to support operations.
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with YMCA standards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to deliver excellent service across all programs.
  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local businesses, and partners to enhance programs and secure support.
  • Represent Camp Carter at community events and networking opportunities.

Facility & Food Services Management

  • Coordinate with facilities staff to maintain and improve the property, ensuring safety and functionality.
  • Manage food service operations, ensuring nutritional quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, recreation management, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a hospitality, camp, or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong leadership and staff management experience.
  • Proven expertise in budget development, financial oversight, and administrative processes.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of program development for camps, outdoor education, and family recreation.
  • Experience in facility and kitchen management is a plus.
