Liberty Maritime Corporation is a New York-based commercial shipping company operating both U.S. flag and various foreign flag vessels. Come join our growing team!

The Operations Coordinator Marine Personnel and Compliance works with the Operations Department to ensure that shoreside and vessel personnel are fully compliant with the Company s SMS and United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist marine personnel department in crewing of crew transfer vessels (CTV) and future offshore wind fleet.

  • Coordinate and track training program for new and returning crew members. This includes managing a crew training matrix, arranging union supplied trainings, and seeking out third party/offshore wind specific trainings.

  • Assist in the creation of shoreside personnel training program and help develop and maintain training matrix.

  • Assist in maintaining LMO s Integrated Management System (IMS). Become proficient in using software management system Nautical Systems (NS)

  • Coordinate with vessel masters and windfarm coordination center on permit-to-work and other required documentation to complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks.

  • Attend daily meetings with windfarm coordination center. Coordinate vessels schedule with regards crewing and compliance needs.

  • Assist with ISM and ISO audits for company and vessels.

  • Carry out periodical onboard vessel assessments for adherence to LMO s policies.

Education, Training & Experience

This position requires the following:

  • Bachelors of Science from a Maritime Academy or equivalent industry experience in a similar position.
  • Valid Passport, TWIC, and Driver s License
  • Fluency in Microsoft (MS) Office
