Operations Assistant

The position is open to U.S. citizens and non-U.S. nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of federal affiliation.

Duties

Assists management with the operation of the facility in accordance with established procedures.

Issues, receives, and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.

Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag.

Completes daily activity report. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility. May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a common access card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications:

Standard qualification: Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages, applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. Skill in providing customer service. Ability to communicate effectively.

Highly preferred: Possess at least six (6) months of cash handling experience. Experience must be listed on your resume to receive consideration to include highly preferred if applicable.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Payment permanent change of station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the government's interest.

This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the garrison commander. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the garrison commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

Incentives will not be paid. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
