REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • APICS certification, CPIM or CSCMP, preferred.
  • Manufacturing Logistics: 5+ years of experience, preferably in biopharma, medical, biotech, or related industries.
  • Managerial Experience: 10+ years in a managerial role.
  • Logistics & Inventory Control: Excellent understanding of best practices and supply chain management.
  • ERP Systems: Advanced knowledge, with preference for Infor Syteline.
  • International Logistics: Experience with customs regulations and cross country intercompany transactions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Certifications in 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen preferred.
  • Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost: Comprehensive understanding of internal requirements and specifications.
  • Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation abilities.
  • Global Logistics Networks: Capability to manage complex, global logistics.
  • Quality System Regulations: Knowledge of relevant regulations.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the efficient management of processes and personnel related to receiving, inventory, packing, shipping, and customer order fulfillment. This role ensures compliance with quality standards and efficient workflows, while also managing preventive maintenance for production machinery, Cleanroom systems, and overall facilities.

Essential Functions

  • Logistics and Warehouse Optimization
  • Design and execute logistics strategies to align with organizational goals.
  • Manage warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations to ensure high order accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Use lean and 5S methodologies to continuously improve processes.
  • Transportation and Cost Management
  • Oversee routing, carrier selection, and freight negotiations to reduce transportation costs.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Track and reduce logistics costs.
  • Manage vendor relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and suppliers, ensuring high service levels and adherence to SLAs.
  • Lead quarterly performance reviews and enforce quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Team Leadership and Safety Compliance
  • Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, maintaining clear KPIs and accountability structures around safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Train staff in safety, compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including safety standards and environmental policies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Use TMS and ERP systems to analyze trends, monitor KPIs, and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Drive actionable insights from logistics data to increase efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.
  • Customer-Centric Service and Continuous Improvement
  • Align logistics operations with customer service goals; resolve escalations quickly and professionally.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Lean initiatives to improve service or reduce waste.
  • Implement new technologies or automation solutions to increase throughput or reduce labor.
  • Preventive Maintenance and Facilities Management
  • Oversee maintenance personnel responsible for conducting regular preventive maintenance for production machinery and cleanroom systems.
  • Manage building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and janitorial services.

Education

  • BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • APICS certification, CPIM or CSCMP, preferred.
