Job Title: Operations Analyst
Location: NYC (hybrid)
Salary: $120k - $140k + bonus
Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to join a leading Quantitative Hedge Fund's Operations team, where you'll oversee the full trade lifecycle for equities and serve as the firm's primary point of contact for operational matters. You'll work to automate systems, streamline workflows, and support the expansion of trading coverage across global markets. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the firm's trade operations workflow, reconciling cash, trades, positions, and P&L across internal systems and external counterparties.
- Partner cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives and continuously improve operational processes.
- Coordinate daily with prime brokers and fund administrators to identify and resolve operational discrepancies.
- Monitor and address exceptions in automated systems related to security master data and corporate actions.
- Oversee pre- and post-trade automation processes, ensuring accuracy in corporate actions and security master updates.
- Support treasury and cash management activities, including margin analysis and wire transfers.
- Validate monthly swap cash flows and assist with the month-end NAV process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including prime brokers and fund administrators.
- Demonstrate an understanding of electronic trading, with the opportunity to expand into trading coverage across global markets.
- Contribute to a lean, collaborative team with responsibilities spanning operations, trading, finance, and broader business functions.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 2-5 YOE in operations
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or a STEM related field
- Understanding and interest in equity markets
- Deep expertise in excel and the ability to work with large data sets
