The primary purpose of the Operational Support Team Representative - Medicaid position is to assist the county departments of social services in the administration of Medicaid, which is one of the multiple means-tested programs that provide services for all families served at the county level through the NC FAST system. County DSS business flow process, program consultation, policy interpretation, program technical assistance, policy training and NC FAST technology assistance is provided by the assigned OST to ensure that policy is uniformly understood and executed, and that corrective action is accomplished for exceptions.
