Operating Room Aide/ Night Shift - UnitedHealth Group : Job Details

• Transports and transfers patient from units and to and from OR table.

• Performs cleaning duties within the OR suites.

• Maintains specific OR supply inventories.

• Holds for preps as necessary.

• Assists OR team position patients for surgery.

• Maintains safe corridors ‐ free from clutter. Monitors hallways and removes extraneous equipment, as needed.

• Supports sterilization and cleaning of instruments.

• Delivers specimens, equipment, blood, X‐rays, and patient records to and from the OR.

• Stocks supplies and linen as needed.

• Cleans related areas and equipment as needed.

Minimum Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• CPR Certification within 3 months of hire

• Previous work experience in an Operating Room setting

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by United Health Services Hospitals Infection Control policies.
