Pay rate: $40/hr. W2

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Oncology RN with a strong background in electronic medical record (EMR) abstraction to join our research and data abstraction team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting deadlines with precision.

This role focuses on accurately abstracting oncology patient data from EMRs into electronic data capture (EDC) tools to support research and analysis efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately abstract oncology-related patient data from EMRs into an EDC tool.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform quality and accuracy checks as requested in a timely manner.
  • Navigate EHR databases efficiently to locate the required clinical information.
  • Collaborate with research and clinical teams to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams and MS Office Suite for communication, reporting, and documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active RN license (Oncology focus).
  • 5+ years Oncology RN experience (must include direct oncology nursing work).
  • 2+ years electronic medical record experience.
  • Proven experience with electronic medical chart abstraction.
  • Proficiency in navigating EHR databases.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal guidance.
  • Preferred Qualifications: OCN certification.
  • Research or academic oncology experience.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Data analysis experience.
