About the Job: We are seeking an experienced OMS Business Consultant with a strong background in electric utility Outage Management Systems (OMS). This role requires both technical familiarity and business acumen to help drive the transformation of utility operations through the implementation and enhancement of OMS technologies. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the scope of OMS enhancements and new functionalities.
  • Analyze current and target business processes related to outage management.
  • Prepare comprehensive business and functional requirement documents.
  • Support the development of an OMS roadmap aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Interface with technical teams to ensure accurate translation of business requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams including GIS, CIS, field mobility, and planned work systems.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather input and validate solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the utilities domain, particularly with ADMS/OMS.
  • Proven expertise in Outage Management Systems and their integration with enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of the utility business processes associated with OMS.
  • Familiarity with supporting systems such as GIS, CIS, and mobile workforce management.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience engaging business users and balancing technical and business trade-offs.
  • Prior experience with Siemens Spectrum Power OMS is highly desirable.
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus.
