This recruitment is to fill one part-time vacancy in the Public Safety Division and to establish an eligibility list to be used for future vacancies.

The City of Rosemead is recruiting for the position of Office Specialist (part-time) to work within the Public Safety Division. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and can perform a variety of technical, paraprofessional, and clerical duties to support animal care services and public safety related responses. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills with the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment and possesses administrative and technical skills.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesSummary: Performs basic office clerical and administrative support functions for City Departments and provides customer services for the general public; enters and retrieves data in automated records management systems; performs work within clearly defined technical and procedural limits.
Essential Functions:
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one-year clerical support and customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in Mandarin or Vietnamese is highly desirable. Knowledge of:
