Job Description: Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is currently seeking a welcoming and customer-focused Office Specialist. In this role, you'll be working as a Reservation/Customer Service Specialist at the Peter Kiewit Lodge Front Desk. You will be working with customers to set up cabin and lodge room reservations, answering calls and giving park information to guests, and being a front line welcoming representative to guests at the park. JOB DUTIES: •Make cabin and lodge room reservations for guests in person and over the phone, giving information on specific cabin types, pricing, and activity information for time of stay. •Maintain reservation system records and coordinate with other park offices to make sure that cabins are clean and maintained for incoming guests. •Provide Park information and related services to visitors and staff by phone or in person. •Sell Park permits and other resale items. •Perform a variety of technical administrative tasks •Help train new staff on the reservation system, office practices, customer service, and park policies. •Perform related duties as required. Requirements/Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.
Other: Driver's license is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: - Ability to learn reservation system, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills and that ability to organize and relay information in a clear and concise manner to the public and agency staff.
- Operate park computer system, maintain records, and prepare reports.
