Job Description :
Under direction, serves as receptionist and performs a variety of complex and specialized secretarial functions at the Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD). Uses manual communication in all aspects of daily functions in relationships with students and staff. Assists in monitoring and controlling student intake and discharge documents for unit. Determines and collects information from student files, attendance records and responds to ISD staff, Local Education Agency (LEA)s, agencies, and individuals requesting student records. Gathers and distributes statistical information. Schedules supervisor's appointments and makes arrangements for appropriate meetings. Essential Functions Utilizes complex terminology related to the education of the deaf and produces and keyboards letters, documents, detailed statistical reports, memoranda, and charts from handwritten notes.
