This is a full time, school year position (with a few additional days prior to start of school year and at the end of the school year) with benefits. This is a very busy office environment serving 1500 students, staff and public everyday. Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel are required. Strong written and verbal communication skills; judgment and initiative; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; the aptitude to work independently and good customer service skills required. This not an inclusive listing: 1. Daily organization of the operation of the school office 2. Make appointments for building administrators and maintain administrators' calendars 3. Take dictation and transcribe notes from taped or written materials 4. Prepare meeting agendas and maintain copies of minutes when necessary 5. Assemble materials, prepare reports, and submit to the appropriate individuals in a timely manner 6. Compose and prepare correspondence 7. Act as a receptionist for all internal and external visitors 8. Telephone contact with parents, community 9. Maintain attendance logs on students 10. Assist with grade reporting, report card generation
