Job Description
Responsible for scanning in all inpatient discharges, all surgical patient discharges, assists in scanning documents for the Emergency Room, Internal Medicine, Surgical Clinic, Walk in Clinic, and OB patients. Scans in non-hospital specific reports. Assists in telephone releases, fax releases, and patients as they come in. Assists with Workers Compensation claim patients. Checks for accuracy on all Emergency Room charts, and obtains any missing information. Email all charts to the Emergency Room and Appalachian Mountains Medical Center. Scan laboratory and radiology charts and download camera cards. Mandatory overtime is an essential job function of this position. Performs related duties as required. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a criminal background check and a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Welch Community Hospital is a tobacco free campus.
