Posting Details Position Information Position Title Office Assistant Department Honors Appointment Term Spring (January - May) FLSA Non-Exempt Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Administrative Assistant, student administrative assistants will perform daily office tasks and follow organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner Essential Duties Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Answer phones and handle as appropriate
- Maintain filing and storage systems in the office
- Greet visitors upon arrival
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Edit and update spreadsheets as needed
- Participate in special events as needed (including but not limited to retreats, ceremonies, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- MWSU Student
- Degree Seeking
- At least an overall 2.0 GPA
- Enrolled at least part-time (6 hours minimum)
Preferred Qualifications
- Student currently in the Honors Program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Excellent customer service skills
Physical Demands Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
