Job Description :

Provide administrative support to the students of the Turning Point program and the Center for Adult Transition. POSITION SUMMARY Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists with the preparation and tracking of all career based activities and outcomes
  • Provide clerical support for all aspects of the program.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating all program related files and documentation.
  • Assist with all aspects of the admission process and new student orientation.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Director of Student Access and Transition, assists to develop and foster ongoing relationships with potential employers
  • Under the direction of the Senior Director of Student Access and Transition, interact with and act as a liaison to DVRS and other agencies as needed to support students goals towards employment
  • Build and maintain positive and proactive relationships with key College and community stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Student Access and Transition from the Office of Specialized Services and staff to complete all program related responsibilities as outlined.
  • Assist with issues related to enrolled students.
  • Participate in the development of program goals, assist with preparation and submission of yearly evaluation and APR to the designated office; and fully engages with the College's Outcomes Assessment Program.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, staff development meetings and external meetings with community-based partners as needed
  • Act as liaison to Bursar's Office for all tuition payments.
  • Maintain, track and update all program related files and documentation.
  • Create and maintain excel databases for K-12 districts and community partners.
  • Prepare, track, monitor and adhere to the department budget.
  • Performs additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Student Access and Transition, Office of Specialized Services or other management.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Associate's degree required. Experience: Previous experience in an office or clerical environment required. Previous experience working with young adults with intellectual disabilities preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates understanding of the community college mission and practices an open door policy. Excellent written, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Has basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Knowledge of state and federal laws and statutes relating to the rights of individuals with disabilities with specific attention to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • Annual Salary is $41,500-$46,500
  • NJ Educators Health Plan with free Vision and Dental. NJ State Pension plan.
  • 13 vacation days, 15 sick days, 4 personal days, 2 floating holidays, all designated holidays and 5 non-designated holidays a year. 3 Partial Sick Days.
