Posting Details Position Information Position Title Office Assistant II for Agricultural and Biological Sciences Job Responsibilities Secretarial and administrative duties for the Agricultural and Biological Sciences departments including: assisting office visitors; updating the departmental websites; preparing letters, memoranda, evaluations, personnel recommendations, and other routine documents; assisting in the preparation and processing of internal documents for departmental purchase; assisting in room reservations; maintaining departmental files; assisting with the preparation of course schedules; assisting in training, assigning, and supervising University student employees; and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent; demonstrated proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software (i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel); excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain a high level of confidentiality, maintain a professional and positive attitude; and be detail-oriented with proven organizational skills. (This administrative assistant position does not require knowledge in the field of Agriculture or Biology.) Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree, two years of responsible secretarial experience or supervisory experience.
