Office Assistant I

The Business Services Outsourcing Center (BSOC) is a consolidated shared services organization based in the Rensselaer, NY area that has been established to optimize delivery of standardized business and specialty services to several large scale GDIT programs. This position is for a Data Capture Operator. This individual should be able to thrive in a production environment while working with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and key from image (KFI) application software. As an Office Assistant I you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Office Assistant I joining our team to:

Under minimal supervision performs data entry of source documents into a computer database. Involves both Datalift/OCR repair and key from image technologies

Ability to move between multiple document @types and different software systems will be required.

Maintain a total machine time in excess of seven hours

Consistently maintain an acceptable error rate

Follow department operating procedures

Perform other job-related functions as assigned by Supervisor

What You'll Need To Succeed:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills: General PC skills, familiarity with Microsoft products

Required Skills and Abilities:

Must possess manual dexterity and be able to operate an alpha/numeric keyboard

Be able to sit for long period of time performing repetitive tasks

Be self-motivated working independently to meet daily goals

Preferred Skills: Experience with ImageNet P2E application for automated data capture

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $17.22 - $21.93. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
