Duties Description • Oversee the work processes and workflow, including monitoring various mailboxes for workflow assignments. This requires effective communication skills and working with both internal and external customers. • Possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, using a variety of media. • All workflow and time sensitive issues must be resolved efficiently, and problematic issues are brought to supervisor's attention. • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge and skill of Microsoft Office computer software, department systems, and other tools to effectively complete assignments. Demonstrating the ability to create, prepare, and disseminate various reports and procedures. • Assist in the review and creation of procedures and workflow for the Criminal Investigations Division. This includes the standardization of procedures and forms. Work with other sections and bureau supervisors so that procedural directions are written to ensure efficient workflow. • Performs the following tasks such as creation of manual assessments, processing payments, scanning completed case folders and documents, and scheduling appointments. • Train new clerical staff. • Responsible for conducting and assisting in the preparation, review, evaluation, and analysis of a variety of reports and other documents specific to the assignment. • Responsible for assisting management staff in the handling of special requests, projects, and/or directives as needed. • Responsible for assisting supervisor with clerical tasks and special requests for multiple offices as needed to meet division needs. • Comply with Office of Human Resources Management, Code of Conduct, Ethics, Internal Control Rules, Policies and Procedures. Maintain familiarity and strict adherence to all official rules, policies, and procedures, as well as those relating to secrecy and computer security. Must adhere to department time and attendance rules and regulations. The selected candidate must be eligible for appointment in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Service Law, Rules, and Regulations.
