Job Summary Under limited supervision, the Admissions Support Specialist supports the mission of Pine Technical & Community College by guiding the daily operations of the Admissions Office. This position ensures accurate and timely processing of applications and admissions documents, maintains data integrity, and provides excellent customer service to guide prospective students and applicants through the admissions process. The role collaborates with Student Affairs, Marketing, Academic Affairs, and other departments to support outreach and enrollment goals and to provide clear, consistent information about the College's opportunities and services. The Admissions Support Specialist exercises independent judgment, ensures compliance with FERPA and Minnesota Government Data Practices, and maintains confidentiality of all applicant information. Minimum Qualifications • Skill in customer service sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence. • Communication skills sufficient to explain the reasons for transactions and procedures, rules, and regulations to so that others understand the information they are being given. • Skill in word processing sufficient to prepare, edit and finalize emails, memos, reports and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format and free of spelling errors. • Ability to check input and output data for completeness, accuracy and discrepancies. • Skill in using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to enter, compile, store and retrieve data. • Ability to create presentation, tables, charts and/or graphs from word processing software. • Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications • Associate's degree (two-year degree) or higher. • One year of experience working in a college admissions office or related student services area. • Experience using a Student Information System (SIS) such as ISRS/Workday. • Experience using a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Salesforce or Slate. • Knowledge of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MinnState) admissions and enrollment policies. • Familiarity with transfer credit evaluation processes and systems (such as DARS). • Experience supporting recruitment events and outreach activities. • Experience working with diverse and underrepresented student populations. • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Education rules, FERPA, and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA).
