OD Operator
An OD Operator operates OD grinders and selected CNC machining equipment for the production of machined carbide and ceramic cutting tips to precision tolerances on support grinders. Pre-set and maintain tooling and equipment. The company provides on the job training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret router, blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Load media in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.
- Calculate and set machine controls.
- Mount, align and secure tooling, attachments and work piece. Select and install grinding wheels.
- Start and monitor display and machine operation.
- Verify dimensions of finished work pieces to specifications.
- Visually inspect all parts for missing or incomplete operations.
- Perform equipment maintenance.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Comply with safety, quality and housekeeping procedures.
Hours: 40 - M-F; Day, Evening, Night shifts

Requirements:
