About the Position:

TJFACT is seeking a Telephone Technician – Information Technology Specialist to support our DOS DT (Diplomatic Technology) IT team in Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq. The technician provides expert support for Department of State-owned telephone communications equipment, maintaining enterprise telephone networks including switches, cabling, handsets, and programming of Avaya CS-1000 phone systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain telecommunications and telephone systems (Analog, Digital, VoIP).
• Oversee hardware procurement, logistics, and maintenance.
• Conduct site surveys and fault isolation.
• Perform work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.
• Manage deployment and maintenance of VOIP systems.
• Provide technical support and training to staff.
• Maintain inventories and support staff development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree + 5 years experience or 13 years related experience.
• Military experience in phone/voice systems considered in lieu of education.
• Experience with CS1000E, VoIP phones, Cisco, and related systems.
• Active security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nortel CS 1000 certification, Cisco CCNA Voice, Avaya (ACIS), BICSI Installer.
