LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport, NY 14450;Clinical Therapies

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Long Term Sub - Tentatively September 2 through November 7, 2025

STARTING DATE: September 2025

SALARY RANGE: $48,500 - $78,642 per school year .. Final salary offer will be prorated based on duration of Long-Term Substitute assignment

*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

DUTIES:

  • Evaluate, plan, program and provide occupational therapy services for students with disabilities, ages 5 to 21 years old.

  • Development and implementation of IEP annual goals and objectives based on each student's needs or 504 accommodation plans.

  • Delivery of on-going occupational therapy services within program assignment in collaboration with parents, teachers, other school professionals, and appropriate community agencies/services.

  • Participation on school/building/program teams and in staffing.

  • Interaction with Committees on Special Education.

  • Provide thorough and timely reporting consistent with BOCES and Departmental procedures, as well as procedures of the program or district assignment.

  • Implementation of various service delivery models: individual, small group, integrative classroom, RtI, etc.

  • Establish and maintain a daily schedule.

  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with school professionals, parents, students, and fellow colleagues within OT/PT Department.

  • Attend departmental and program assignment meetings.

  • Preparation of CSE packets as required by assignment.

  • Comply with BOCES policies.

  • Possible staff development for OT/PT Department and/or clinical education of OT students.

  • Supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Maintain licensure through ongoing professional education.

  • Complete daily documentation that complies with NYSED and Medicaid requirements.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Civil Service eligibility as anOccupational Therapist: EITHER:
  • A. Possession of a valid license and currently registered by the New York State Education Department as an Occupational Therapist; OR

    B. Possession of a Limited Permit to practice Occupational Therapy issued by the New York State Education Department.

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Experience with Special and General Education populations preferred.

  • Experience and/or training within sensory integration and neurodevelopment approaches preferred.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of assistive technology equipment.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in NY Medicaid Guidelines.

  • National Provider Number (NPI) or willingness to obtain one.

  • Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
