Occupational Therapist - Onward Search Education : Job Details

We're currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a school team in Lake County, IL. This is a short-term, in-person opportunity providing FMLA coverage from now through October 22, 2025. This opportunity allows you to support student independence and daily functioning within a collaborative and student-centered school environment. Position Details: * Position: Occupational Therapist * Location: Lake County, IL * Duration: ASAP – October 22, 2025 (FMLA coverage) * Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM * Student Population: PreK–12th grade students with diverse developmental and learning needs Responsibilities: * Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with students' IEP goals. * Conduct evaluations and monitor progress in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence. * Collaborate with school staff and related service providers to enhance student access to learning. * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education regulations. * Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for accommodations and strategies. Qualifications: * Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. * Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license (required). * Previous school-based experience preferred. * Strong interpersonal, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
