Occupational Therapists (OT) will provide excellent care to reduce or eliminate the patients' areas of deficit associated with their sensory processing, fine-motor abilities, and muscle strengthening.

Settings available: Skilled Nursing Facility

**Rate is dependent on setting, experience, and employment status**

**Must have valid NYS therapy license**

Occupational Therapist (OT) tasks will include, but not limited to:

• Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs in applicable setting to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
• Review authorized orders for therapy services, and perform and document initial evaluation to determine patients' fine-motor deficits, sensory processing deficiencies, and cognitive perception deficits, and identify the therapeutic needs and goals specific to the patients to maintain, develop, and/or restore fine-motor function, sensory-processing abilities, and muscle strengthening.
• Perform clinical assessments to define functional impairment and developmental and/or restorative potential.
• Confer with patient, family, medical treatment team to determine maintenance, developmental, and restorative therapeutic goals.
• Track and document treatments, responses, and progress. Reevaluate, redefine therapeutic goals, and develop new treatment plans as necessary.
• Recommend assistive/adaptive equipment for patient to maximize independent ability to carry out daily functionality.

• Patient service and care skills
• Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
• Acute care and ICU experience
• Occupational health expertise
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and post-acute care settings
• Ability to work with geriatric patients
• Sub-acute care experience is a plus
