Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist Location: Hopewell, Virginia, 23860 Position Details Shift Schedule: 08-hour Day shifts Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Pay Rate: $55/hr on W2 • Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Hopewell, Virginia, 23860 in 13 week contract. The ideal candidate will work primarily with pediatric patients, providing comprehensive speech therapy services to enhance communication skills and support early intervention strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology as it relates to speech and language development. • Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication abilities. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Provide education and resources to families regarding speech and language development. Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and strategies. Experience A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is required. Previous experience working with pediatric populations is preferred. Knowledge of early intervention practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to speech therapy is essential. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work in school settings or clinical environments as needed.
