Support is needed 1-2 times every other month when her husband is traveling for work. Shifts may fall on any weekday, typically from 5pm-10pm (or as late as midnight). The family will provide at least one week's notice prior to each shift. The client enjoys baking, cooking, and watching movies. She uses a wheelchair and needs assistance with select daily activities, including reaching items for meal prep. She also values having someone nearby for safety in case of a fall. A Hoyer lift is available, and the family is happy to provide training if needed. An ideal candidate will be friendly, conversational, and dependable.

• Length of position: Ongoing
• Schedule: Intermittent care - No guaranteed hours
  • Typical needs are Monday-Friday, 5pm-10pm (or midnight at the latest)
• Compensation: $27 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Engaging the client in conversation and companionship
• Assisting with transfers from wheelchair (under the arm or using a Hoyer lift - client weighs approximately 160lbs)
• Providing support with personal hygiene

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of paid, professional caregiving experience
• CPR certified, or willing to become certified
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to provide 2 care-related references
• Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check

Compensation:This position pays $27 per hour, and the family is looking for intermittent care, 1-2 times every other month.
