Job Title:Physician Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN)

Location:Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY 42223

Work Schedule:Rotating shifts covering a 24/7 ( ), Monday Sunday

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O). Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canda, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the past 3 years.
  • Experience must include inpatient obstetric care, outpatient gynecology, and surgical OB/GYN procedures such as cesarean deliveries.
  • License/Certification
  • Unrestricted, valid medical license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology by ABMS or AOA Bureaus of Osteopathic Specialists
  • Current DEA registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive Obstetric and Gynecologic care to eligible beneficiaries.
  • Conduct outpatient services including prenatal, antenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care.
  • Perform inpatient services, including triage and management of laboring and postpartum patients.
  • Support a high-volume labor and delivery unit (+ deliveries per month).
  • Perform and assist in OB/GYN surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and D&Cs.
  • Respond to emergency room consultations and OB/GYN-related urgent issues.
  • Maintain a minimum of 2.75 patient visits per hour in the clinical setting.
  • Participate in rotating shift coverage ( ); no on-call requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with DHA and MTF standards.
  • Maintain current credentials, certifications, and complete required DoD training (e.g., HIPAA, OPSEC, Cybersecurity, AT Level I).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and uphold professional conduct standards.
  • Submit and maintain credentialing documentation in accordance with MTF requirements.
