The Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Engineer - Observability to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for maintaining the health, reliability, and performance of our systems. You will work hands-on with observability infrastructure, monitoring tools, and automation, enabling teams across the organization to ship faster and more confidently.

Responsibilities
  • Develop systems for gathering, processing, and analyzing telemetry data (traces, metrics, logs).
  • Create and improve monitoring tools focused on automation and efficiency.
  • Integrate observability practices into workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production issues through data analysis.
  • Perform manual testing and develop automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Create and maintain documentation.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, etc.
  • Experience with alerting tools like Alertmanager, PagerDuty, etc.
  • Scripting skills for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies, TDD, benchmarking, and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of UML, design patterns, and code optimization.
  • Adaptability and passion for learning new technologies.
