The Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Engineer - Observability to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for maintaining the health, reliability, and performance of our systems. You will work hands-on with observability infrastructure, monitoring tools, and automation, enabling teams across the organization to ship faster and more confidently.

Responsibilities

Develop systems for gathering, processing, and analyzing telemetry data (traces, metrics, logs).

Create and improve monitoring tools focused on automation and efficiency.

Integrate observability practices into workflows.

Troubleshoot production issues through data analysis.

Perform manual testing and develop automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.

Create and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, etc.

Experience with alerting tools like Alertmanager, PagerDuty, etc.

Scripting skills for automation and operational efficiency.

Understanding of testing methodologies, TDD, benchmarking, and KPIs.

Knowledge of UML, design patterns, and code optimization.

Adaptability and passion for learning new technologies.
