NYS Shipping Logistics Administrator - Nucor Corporation : Job Details

The Shipping Logistics Administrator will be a positive problem solver who demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement of NYS safety culture. Their primary responsibility will be the execution of all aspects necessary for safe, efficient, and timely flow of all barge material from mill to end user, as well as communication of barge status to all customers as needed. These duties may include, but are not limited to, building truck, rail and barge loads, as well as ordering barges and managing all barge payment processing and demurrage costs. Extensive use of several evolving business systems and development of effective relationships with customers, sales, schedulers, metallurgists, quality lab, and all barge lines will be required, while working within a team setting and or independently. as needed.
