Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior IT Specialist within our team NYS Department of Public Service. This is a 30 month contract, fully onsite on Albany, NY. Key Responsibilities: The consultant will serve developers in the .Net Developer Team implementing • Design and Modify system functionality per change request (.Net C#, SQL Server, Oracle, FileNet) • Develop Web REST API's • Develop several enhancements utilizing MVC and Entity Framework. • Identify and correct performance issues in web applications. • Mentor system development team Assistance in development of software/hardware requirements for Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environment. Qualifications: 60 - 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. Preferred Qualifications:
- 74 Months of Experience in designing/architecting systems in Microsoft .Net.
- 74 Months of Experience in designing secure web applications in a team environment.
- 72 Months of Experience in database design using SQL Server.
- 36 Months of Experience in project work using Microsoft TFS.
- 72 Months of Experience in programming using C#, MVC, ASP.NET, Entity Framework Core or EF 6, Web API and web tools.
- 36 Months of Experience in development using Agile/Scrum.
- 36 Months of Experience in development using XAML with Universal Windows Platform (UWP), Utilizing MVVM and SQLite database.
- Masters Degree in computer related field.
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $ 45 .00 - $ 50 .00.
